Our History
After struggling with addiction and mental health issues throughout his teenage and college years, our founder reached out for help and began his own recovery journey. Few options for quality care existed at the time, so he relocated 2,500 miles from home to receive the life-saving care he desperately needed. While in treatment, he saw firsthand what many programs lacked—heart, community, and therapy to treat the underlying causes of addiction. He knew there had to be a better, effective way to care for struggling human beings.
He went back to college with a newfound desire to do something that would help others. For a Master of Social Work program project, he designed a treatment center that put people first, treated the root causes of substance use like mental health and trauma, and created a strong community of recovering people. He identified Colorado as a state in need of such a place and partnered with a former classmate and a recovery housing manager, and turned his grad school project into reality.
Since 2015, our place in the addiction treatment community has evolved, but our heartbeat remains the same. What was once a single location in Lakewood has grown into three locations across Colorado (Lakewood, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs) plus virtual treatment programs in Colorado and Wyoming. We have helped over a thousand people realize that they hold value and deserve to live with courage, purpose, and connection.
